Schmitz Industrievertretungen oHG distributes products for the manufacturing of cables and wires.
The company’s story began in 1989, when Herbert Schmitz started as an independent sales representative, initially focusing on shielding foils and yarns for the cable industry.

In 2012, his son Christopher Schmitz joined the company, and an oHG (general partnership) was founded. Since then, the business has evolved from pure sales representation into the trading of cable materials.

In 2018, Herbert and Christopher Schmitz acquired Hoftex Max Süss GmbH from the Hoftex Group, with a focus on producing yarns and ropes for the cable industry.

Prior to the acquisition, Schmitz Industrievertretungen had been the official sales partner of Max Süss for 28 years.

In 2019, the company relocated within Erftstadt, a small town just outside Cologne.

The move into new office space also brought a significantly larger warehouse – now covering over 600 square meters. This facility is now the main hub for trading operations. Materials, in some cases pre-configured to customer specifications, are stocked and shipped from here without delay.

Schmitz Industrievertretungen collaborates with leading companies in their respective segments from Germany, Europe, and around the world.

Since its founding, the company has been focused on products for cable manufacturing. Over the years, Schmitz IV has consistently specialized in the cable market and steadily expanded its offering.
