CENTRAL STRENGTH MEMBERS
FRP-RODS
Plain FRP-Rods (Fiberglass reinforced plastic) is a non-metallic composite designed primarily for use as a central strength member or peripheral strength element in fiber optical cables.
Our FRP is composed of high strength E-Glass fibres impregnated with a variety of specialized epoxy resins.
- Short-time-availability of different diameters
- Very high tensile strength + extremely low bending radius
- Diameters from 0,4 mm up to 4,50 mm
Standardlength of 25 km or 50 km per reel

UPJACKETED FRP (EXTRUDED)
Extruded FRP-rods will be upjacketed with PE to the final diameter.
- Customer individual designs
(FRP-core diameter + final PE-jacket diameter) - Order-specific spool-lenghts possible
- available with enclosed steel core

MONOFILES/FILLER ELEMENTS
Monofiles (blind veins) will be extruded on a a fine glass carrier yarn. They have the fuction to fill up space in the cable design as “blind”- insulation without further purpose as filling and supporting. The fine glas yarn inside gives a certain tensile strength to this monofile.
- Available from PVC/PE/PP/Santoprene, further
thermoplastics on request - Diameters from 0,6 mm to 11,0 mm
- Winded on one-way-spools or returnable spools
- Carrieryarn from glass, aramid or PP
